I had some requests to post a tutorial on how I made my bows for my tree. The weather here is cold 20 degrees and It has been snowing for hours. The weather man says stay off the roads unless it is absolutely necessary. In other words...stamp, blog and have fun today no work. Yea!

Gift Bow Bigz L Die Tutorial

I started with a piece of 8 1/2" x 11" of Coastal Cabana card stock and cut it in half. I placed the card stock on the Gift Bow Die and ran it through the Big Shot. I left the negative card stock on the die so you can see how the pieces are cut.

Before running the card stock and die through the Big Shot, I placed two Standard Cutting pads on the top and bottom of the die.

You will need a bone folder, Tombow Liquid Glue, Paper Piercer, Paper Trimmer, and Gift Bow Bigz Die. When using Glimmer Paper I use Mini Glue dots to hold the bow together.
I added Large Basic Rhinestones to my bows because they were for the Christmas and I wanted a little more dazzle.

Here are the pieces of the Sliver Glimmer bow after I used my Bone Folder to curl them. It makes it easier to put the bow together.

On the left and right side I attached one of the glue dots.

The base of the bow is finished. Next, I added extra loops to make the bow larger.

Fold the inside of the extra loops together as I have done here. There will be a glue dot on the inside of the loop and on the outside.
Then to make sure they will stay on the bow use two more mini glue dots.
This is what the back of the bow looks like once the extra loops are attached.
It looks much better with the extra loops for the tree decorations or for a larger package. In the background is a small piece of Sliver Glimmer Paper that goes around the center of the bow. This is applied before the tails of the bow are attached. I didn't think to take a picture of this.
The tails need mini glue dots; one on each.
Here is the completed bow. I added a Large Basic Rhinestone to the center.

Example of other bows I made for the tree.
I used my bow for our tree and attached a bow to my Curly Wreaths. Using bows on packages dresses up the overall look of the package.
