Welcome to day 2 of 20 Days..20 Cards!
Today is another layout using the same idea as yesterday's card. This time I used the Big Shot and cut out the Top Note and then embossed it with Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder. I heat embossed the angel using Gold Encore Ink and sprinkled Stampin' Up! Gold embossing powder and tapped the excess off. I then heat set it with my heat tool. The base of the card is Soft Sky card stock. The Sentiment is from a retired set.
I used Stampin' Up! Dimenstionals bring the Top Note off the card base to give the card a 3-D effect.
This would be a good card to make if you had to mass produce your Christmas cards. It looks like you spent a lot of time on the card but actually it is easy and the process goes quickly.
Today I have a 3-D project for you. I had strips of 12" x 1/2" of Designer Series Paper left over from making my Curly Paper Wreaths and didn't want to throw them away. I cut the strips in half, making 6" x 1/2" and curled them just like I did for the wreaths. Using straight pins I decorated a 3" Styrofoam ball. I added Cherry Clobber Seam Binding bow and White Bakers Twine to hang the ornament. This would look great in a smaller spot or if you had a large tree, it would look nice hanging on the tree. My photos leave a lot to be desired. I just got my photo tent and I am experimenting on the best way to use it.
This close up shows how pretty the papers look together.
Making the curly wreaths and ornaments are addicting. I never get tired of curling the ribbon or making the wreaths.
