Vellum Part 1

This week I have been experimenting with Vellum to achieve different looks on my cards and thought you might want to give this a try. Today I have Part 1.
I wanted to add color to my image. I used  Stampin' Write Markers  on the front side of the embossed image. It wasn't the look I wanted.  I colored on the back side of the Vellum with Stampin' Write Markers and found this was just what I was hoping to achieve. Coloring on the back of the embossed image gives a subtle look to the colored image.

I used Stampin' Dimensionals on this card and the one below.

I started with 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of White Vellum Card Stock.
This is a heavier weight and won't wrinkle when you heat emboss. Before Stamping the image on the Vellum, I used the Embossing Buddy, which prevents extra powder or glitter from sticking to your project. Just rub across the paper before application. I used Versa Mark clear ink and added White Emboss Powder. I used my Heat Tool to achieve the nice shinny look to the Poinsettia flower and leaves. I turned the card stock over and colored on the back. If a mistake is made, it is easy to wipe the card stock with a damp cloth.
My next step was to choose which type of adhesive to use so the adhesive wouldn't show through on the front side. I like Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The Vellum stays down and it doesn't show through. I also tried Stampin' Dimensionals and liked the them just as well. It just depends if you want a raised look to your flower.
The finial step was to color Pearl Basic Jewels and Rhinestone Basic Jewels with a yellow Sharpie Marker and add them to the center of the flower add put the card together.
