More Christmas Angels

Today I have more angels...

This angel is the same pattern as the angel I posted yesterday. Scroll down to get the template. I colored Champagne Glimmer paper with Green Garden Ink Refill and a Sponge Dauber. I colored the rhinestones with a Green Sharpie Marker. The ribbon is Gumball Green 3/8" Stitched Satin.

These angels are made with the Scallop Circle Bigz Die and the 1 3/4" Scallop Circle punch. I added Pearl Basic Jewels to the angel on the right and Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the angel on the left. Ribbon is Pool Party Bakers Twine and 5/8" Whisper White Organza.

I found this cute little angel example on Pinterest. The body of the angel I made from the Scallop Circle Bigz Die, the wings are from the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die; using the large butterfly. I embossed the wings with the Perfect Polka Dots Folder and the Scallop Circle with Petal-a-Plenty Flower Folder using Very Vanilla card stock.  For the bow I used 5/8" Crochet Trim. The hallo is a Whisper White  button for the Neutrals Designer Button Collection.

Just Add a Llitlte Glimmer

I added just a little "Glimmer" to some of my cards today.
I had some scraps of Red, Champagne and Silver Glimmer paper on my desk, after looking at them I didn't want to throw them away. I realized that some of my already made Christmas cards would be suitable to add a star here, a heart there or a couple of strips to frame the main focus of my card. So, this is what I came up with.

What you will need to make these cards...I used a variety of different stamp set, card stock, designer series paper and Glimmer Paper.
Products I used:
Whisper White, Old Olive, Cherry Clobber, Very Vanilla card stock
Ink: Cherry Clobber, Old Olive and Tangerine Tango
DesignerSeries Paper: Festival of Prints and Be of Good Cheer
Stamp Sets: Bells & Boughs, Frosty Friends, Heart of Christmas and Scentsational Season
Framelits Dies: Holiday Collection and Holiday Ornaments
Punches: Merry Minis
Rhinestone Basic Jewels
SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals
Red, Sliver and Champagne Glimmer Paper
Silver Cording: Retired from Stampin' Up!
If you have any other ideas on how to use up small scraps of Glimmer paper, leave me a comment.

Tutorial on Stamping with Window Sheets and Glass Ornaments

I have a tutorial for you on how to stamp with Window Sheets and Glass Ornaments

Your will need

 Stampin' Up! Window Sheets
STAZON Black Ink
Snow Much Fun, Greeting Card Kids, and Bells & Boughs stamp sets
3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon in Gumball Green, Raspberry Ripple and Summer Starfruit
Paper Snips

Non- Stampin' Up! items
Glass Oranments
Sharpie Markers

1. Gather all your items you will need for this project.
2. Stamp with STAZON Black Ink on Window Sheet. Let dry...turn sheet over and color in stamped image. Sharpie markers are permanent and will not smear.

Coloring on the opposite side of the Window prevents the STAZON Ink from smearing.

Cut the stamped image in a circle.

Roll the window sheet with stamped image like the photo above. Place it in the ornament. When the window sheet gets past the opening it will snap into place. If for some reason, the window sheet circle is a little crooked, use the eraser end of a pencil to straighten it out.

This is a side view to show how the stamped window sheet looks after it is in place.

Here are all four ornaments with the window sheets inside.

I added some Mica Flakes to make the ornaments look like there is snow in the bottom. Glitter works real well too. To finish off the ornaments I added a bow.
This type of ornament is nice to have on hand in the Christmas Season for a last minute gift. This year I am giving the mail lady, trash man and UPS driver ornaments similar to these.
You will find the clear glass ornaments at your local craft store. Plastic ornaments work as well.
I hope you will give this a try.

Stamping with Glass Ornaments

Today I have a technique that I have been doing for five years or more. Stamping with glass ornaments. This technique is so cool. When people see them for the first time, they are puzzled. "How did you do that" is the question I hear over and over.
It's so much fun to actually show them how the ornaments are made. I'm working on a tutorial for you but today, I will post some photos of ornaments I made the last two years.

I like to add some sparkle to the ornaments so I use glitter. When you shake the ornament the glitter sticks on the sides and resembles snow.
I'll have the tutorial finished for tomorrow's post.
Happy Stampin'!

Cards for our Troops and Yellow Roses

I had quite an adventure over the week-end. Thanks to my newest Hostess, Beth, I heard about some of our troops that needed Christmas cards. So, on Saturday afternoon, I started stamping and stamping and stamping. I stamped on Sunday and stamped and stamped. I made 67 Christmas cards and got them in the mail by the deadline today.
Here are some of the cards I sent.

Beth's son is in Afghanistan. She and other Blue Star Mothers have been busy assembling, packaging and shipping packages to there children who also stationed in Afghanistan. When I mentioned to Beth I wanted to send some cards she told me all their packages had been sent two weeks ago, but she knew of a Navy mother who had the names of three different groups who would like some Christmas cards. Woo Hoo...I was a happy stamper! So that's my story....except look what Beth brought me on Saturday afternoon...as a thank  you.
Aren't they beautiful! Her younger son, Andrew picked out the yellow roses because they were sunny and bright! How cute is that? Andrew is 11 and he came to one of my workshops and boy can he stamp! A big thank you to Beth and Andrew.
My husband added some branches from one of our pine trees on Sunday.

Andrew was right...these beautiful roses are sunny and bright. Here in Michigan it is gray and rainy today. But inside I have my wonderful flowers.

Please come back tomorrow... for more Christmas cards
Happy Stampin!
