Look What I Did With Left Over Wooden Blocks

I had so much fun decorating all these blocks. They are decorated on the back too.
I used the 25 & Counting set for the fronts and Jolly Bingo Bits for the back.
I used a variety of card stock, designer series paper, ribbons and embellishments.
I have mine setting on our sofa table but they could be made into Christmas tree ornaments by adding cording around the blocks. The sides that curve in help keep the cording in place.
Don't forget to check out all the beautiful Holiday stamps and other products at my online store. www.janegiggy.stampinup.net

I have more projects to show you in the next few days. It's so nice to have a big variety of products to choose from.
Leave me a comment and let me know what you think of my Advent decorations.

  1. Oh my goodness Jane! This is a great project! I've been wondering what to do with all those blocks. I just couldn't stand to throw them away.

    1. Thanks. It was fun to do. It was kind of addictive. Once I started, I didn't want to stop. I would say to myself..."just one more block" and then about an hour later I realized how much time had passed.

  2. Jane, your advent blocks are so cute! You could even do an advent countdown with them, by displaying them with the current date sitting "front and center". Great job!

  3. Jane - love the Advent block idea - but your picture for me is either too small or too blurry and it won't open up for me to see any details. Would you be willing to email the picture. Would love to CASE this once I collect enough wooden blocks again. I'm an acrylic person myself...
    Thanks for your consideration.
