Do you remember when you were in grade school and you or someone brought cupcakes for a birthday or for the annual Halloween party? What fun it was back then. I wanted to recreate the same feeling when I made these cupcake picks.

 The difference is no cupcakes just the picks.

Thank You Gift Stampin' Up! Style

This has been one of those days that I had more things scheduled than I could do in two days. And this is why I'm so glad I have Stampin' Up! products ready in my studio and have made some gifts ahead of time.

Today I needed a thank you gift for a neighbor lady who sent home the most delicious apple crisp with my husband as a thank you for the job he did installing her new wood flooring. He was scheduled for a two week job but she wanted more done than he was scheduled for. He was almost finished with the job and I wanted to give her a little something to say thank you back for the apple crisp so he could deliver it to her when he finished today.

Fortunately, a couple of weeks ago, I made and posted some cute little Fancy Favor Boxes. I saw a video on how to make these on Patty Bennett's blog and I had to make some.

I put them aside. Well today, I pulled one out and made this cute little thank you gift in no time at all.

I had some Hershey Nuggets so I put some in a 4" x 6" Cellophane bag, tied a piece of 5/8" Crochet Trim around the bag and attached the leaf cut from the Autumn Accents Die after I sponges Pumpkin Pie and Early Espresso ink around the outside of the leaf, I attached it with Linen Thread. I wrote a little note on the back of the leaf and was finished in about Five minutes. It was just in time. My husband was ready to walk out the door.

TIP

When I cut out leaves, or another shapes using the Big Shot and a Die or Framelits Die I cut out extra to keep on hand for a quick and easy card or project. I was glad I had extra leaves today. I store my extras in a cello bag and have it ready when I need something fast.

This week I am going to post a tutorial on how to make these cute little Fancy Favor Boxes so I will wait to list what you will need to make one or more of these boxes.

Hostess Gift for Thanksgiving Dinner

It's not to early to start thinking about Thanksgiving and planning your menu,  and home decorations. If you have been invited out to eat at someone else home, here is an idea that will surly impress your hostess!

What hostess wouldn't want this beautiful tin filled with chocolates and decorated with Stampin' Up! beautiful Glimmer Paper?

What is so nice about this gift idea is you can change the paper and lid decorations for many other occasions.
What I did was cut out the leaves using the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine and the Autumn Accents Die. Using my sponge daubers, I used Riding Hood Red, More Mustard and Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Pads and colored each leaf. I added a different color on the edges of each leaf. The tin will hold 12 Hershey Chocolate Nuggets. I cut 12 designer series paper strips 1" x 3", wrapped the strip around the candy and used Sticky Strip to hold it together. I alternated the design of the designer series paper for every other piece of candy. I used Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper. I chose one sheet and used both sides of the sheet.

Lollie Pumpkins and Stamped Candle

I'm so excited today to show you my lollie pumpkins and stamped candle.

I'm holding two clasess in October where you will learn to make one of these pumpkins, how to stamp on a candle and how to antique the leaves to make them look real.

I have seen a variety of ideas making the candle and pumpkins. I decided to use my own idea of stamping with the Wonderfall stamp set and used the Autumn Accents Bigz Die and the Big Shot to cut out the leaves.

I have room for 7 participants for each class.

Halloween Treat Time

Today I have couple of treat container ideas that I think you will love!

 All of these little cuties are made from the Petite Purse Bigz L Die. The finished size is 2 7/8" X 1 3/4" x 1 3/8". Aren't they just too cute! I filled them with candy and they are all ready to go to a little boy or girl for Halloween Trick or Treat!

 This is the front of the Purse without the handle. I just turned the purse around and didn't attach the handle and then decorated with Halloween faces.

The next Halloween treat containers are an old stand by. The original idea came from sour cream containers that restaurants served with baked potatoes.

 I made mine larger; 6" x 6" filled with candy and sealed the ends with Sticky Tape.  How much nicer to give candy in one of these.

Halloween Wreath

I'm still making Halloween projects. Today I have a Halloween Wreath made with a straw wreath, a variety of Stampin' Up! designer series papers and card stock.

 I used now retired Stampin' Up! Wicked Fun Specialty and Pick your Poison designer series papers from the Clearance Rack

In addition I used Whisper White, Tangerine Tango and Basic Black card stock.

A straw wreath is so messy once you remove the plastic, I left the plastic on and covered the entire wreath with now retired Pumpkin Pie 1 1/4" Stripped Grosgrain Ribbon. I chose Basic Black 1 1/4 " Stripped Grosgrain Ribbon for the bow.
