Gold and Silver Foil Sheet Cards

Today I have some cards featuring the Gold and Silver Sheets from the Occasional Catalog. These sheets can be cut with punches or Big Shot Dies. They are acid free so they are great to use in your scrapbook too.

I used the Happy Watercolor stamp set along with the Gold Foil paper, Strawberry Strawberry Slush and Whisper White card stock. I added 3/8" Strawberry Slush Ruffle Stretch Trim at the top to tie the complete look together. I ran the Gold Foil paper through the Big Shot using the Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder.
On the is card I used the same set; Happy Watercolor. This time I used the Silver Foil Paper ran it through the Big Shot using the Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder. I used Pistachio Pudding card stock and Stampin' Write Marker along with Pink Pirouette for the flowers.
I used Petal Parade stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog.
I ran a piece of Whisper White card stock through the Big Shot using the Floral Frames Collection to make the flower. I then stamped in Coastal Cabana and Crisp Cantaloupe Classic Stampin' Ink. This time I used Coastal Cabana 3/8" Ruffled Stretch Trim to coordinate with Coastal Cabana card stock.
Vivid Vases is one of our Single Stamps from the Occasions Catalog. This stamp is one of my favorites. For this card instead of coloring the vases with Stampin' Write Markers, I stamped the image on the back of the designer series paper; Sweet Sorbet from the Sale-A-Brations Catalog. I cut out the images out and used Tombow Liquid Glue to attach them to the stamped vases on Whisper White card stock that I had ran through the Big Shot using one of the Apothecary Accents Framelits.

Be sure to check out the Occasions and Sale-A-Brations catalogs on my online store. It's open 24/7. Just click HERE

I hope you are having a great week end. Here in Kalamazoo, it's 28 degrees and sunny. Compared to the sub zero temps we have had the last couple of weeks, we are having  heat wave. :-)

Pictures of before and after of the ice built up on the roof of our back deck. One piece of ice weighed over 150 pounds.

I don't know about you but I'm going into my Studio to make more cards!
Until next time...

Handmade Scarf from Pat Cortez Guest Crafter

Today's post is featuring another sister in-law, Pat Cortez. Pat made me this beautiful, soft and cozy scarf for Valentine's Day!
Do I know how to pick my sister in-laws or what? Pat and Phyllis are sisters and have a lot of talent. It's so much fun to get a package in the mail.

Pat is an avid stamper, loves to read, knits and works with miniatures. A very talented gal.
The scarf is so soft and pretty. It goes well with my winter jacket. Love my card too!

Until next time...

Phyllis Cooper Guest Stamper

Today I'm featuring Phyllis Cooper, guest stamper.
Phyllis is my sister in-law and is an avid stamper and enjoys knitting, paper crafting, reading and all kinds of hobby's. Today I'm featuring her expertise in paper crafting.

Phyllis sent me a Valentine wreath last week. Oh, my what a beautiful wreath!  Such pretty pink colors. I used my photo tent to take pictures to pick up the beautiful colors in the roses!

When I first saw this wreath, I really thought the flowers and leaves were real.
What a nice balance of the pink family colors and placement of the roses.

With all the snow here, it's is so refreshing to look up and see such pretty flowers on my Studio wall.  Phyllis used coffee filters to make her flowers. I would have never guessed coffee filters! This gift was a labor of love and I'm  so happy to be the recipient of such a beautiful wreath. Each time I look at it I think of Phyllis!

I have another sister in-law, Pat Cortez, who sent me a beautiful, soft handmade scarf for Valentine's Day. I will feature her later this week. What a lucky girl I am.

Until next time...

Treachers Treaining Project Stampin' Up! Style

This is my second post for today. This post is will show you how I covered and decorated Steno Pad, Pencils, and Mini Coffee Cups for a teacher's training for 35 Participants.

The theme colors are Real Red, Rich Razzleberry and Pink Pirouette. I used some retired Pretty In Pink card stock.

I used retired and current designer series paper to cover the Steno Pads. I attached the designer series paper to the cover of the pad and then added a decorative piece of Whisper White card stock. I made a template out of an old Steno Pad. With a pencil, I marked each hole with a dot and then punched the dot with a small punch. The last step in creating the card stock was to cut up to the punched hole, cutting to the left of the hole. This way I was able to fit the pieces of card stock in between the spirals. I decorated the Steno Pads for Valentine's Day.  I used a variety of dies, punches, ribbons and papers.

The mini coffee cups started out like this. I took one cup apart and made a template. I traced on designer series paper and cut out the cover. I used Sticky Strip to adhere the paper to the cup securely.
I thought about using this design but realized that time was a factor and used Punches instead.
Here is the finial project. I really like the way they turned out.
Fringe pencils are so much fun to make. This picture is to show the detail and the ribbons I used.
This view shows how cute the finished project is.
Here is about half of the pencils. They look like flowers don't they?
All finished and packing the Steno Pads in a Stampin' Up! box. They just fit.
I used my four wheel cart to deliver all the goodies.
All finished the day before the training. I had a lot of fun creating these projects for the teachers training. Using the Valentine's theme added to the fun!

Later this week I will post a tutorial for the Steno Pads in case any of you want or need to make some.
Before you go...check out my online store for the Sale-a-Bration catalog. For each $50 you spend you can choose one free product!

Valentine Cards and Sweets for the Sweet

Good morning! All day yesterday my server was down. Finally today the Internet is up and running again. I was really frustrated because I wanted to post the cards and containers I made for Valentine's Day.

The two weeks before Valentine's Day I was busy making a large project for a Teacher's Training. I was commissioned to make and decorate 35 of Fringed Pencils, Steno Pads, and Mini Coffee cups. I will post the photos of how they turned out later this week.
