Tutorial for Christmas Candy Hidden Surprise...Last Minute Gift

Today I have a last minute  project that I'm positive everyone who receives it will be happy and enjoy the surprise!

M & M Candy Jars

Hidden inside down under all the M & M's is a recycled toilet paper roll covered in designer series paper; inside is money. The top and bottom of the paper roll is covered with designer series paper to protect the candy from getting inside with the money. If you look at the picture above you will see in the middle of the jar a cardboard roll. That's where the money is hidden.

I made jars for our grandchildren and four of our neighborhood children.

Tutorial for the M & M Candy Jars

I used recycled toilet paper rolls cut in half due to the size of the jelly jars. I added Season of Style designer series paper using Sticky Stip to hold the paper to the roll.

Using my bone folder I pressed down the designer series paper on the card board roll.

I used Sticky Strip on the inside and outside of the roll to make sure the roll will stay together.

Next I put the money inside the toilet paper roll and placed it inside the jar.

All that I need to do was fill the jar with M & M candies. I used Regular and Peanut M & M's. The circle of designer series paper keeps the candy clean.
Once the jar is full of candy and you make sure the toilet paper roll can't be seen, put the lid on and decorate as you'd like.
I used a variety of stamps, ribbons and papers on mine.
